Villa Giulia is currently under construction just above the town center in Lerici, Italy. A full description of the town and adjacent villages can be found under the location tab of this website. The area is ideal for an authentic Italian getaway, as there are major train connections in La Spezia and Sarzana. The Cinque Terra are accessible by boat or train for culinary visits and spectacular hiking. Once your taste for tourism has been sated, you return to a quiet paradise.
Coastal Ligoria is temperate year round. The summers are warm enough for a day at the beach, but cool breezes make the evening pleasant. Winter temperatures never reach freezing – there is no snow or ice as evidenced by the numerous lemon and palm trees.
A local family with deep roots and strong ties to the area is constructing the Villa. There will be three flats, one of which will remain in the family. The architectural and engineering design has been in development for many years and will meet or exceed modern codes and seismic standards.
The apartment being offered is a two bedroom, two-bath unit located on the middle level with unobstructed views from Portovenere to the castle in Lerici. The view can never be obscured by future construction as dictated by local laws. Finish materials will be of the highest quality to include a gourmet kitchen and radiant heat throughout, and its design will incorporate the latest available technology for security and connectivity.
The flat will be fully furnished with a complete gourmet kitchen, washer and dryer, WIFI, a music system, and more.
The property grounds have been preserved and include olive, fig, apricot, pear, plum, orange and lemon trees. There is a private walkway guaranteed by easement straight to the center of town. The grocery store is less than three minutes’ walk…the return trip takes a bit longer as it is uphill.
Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of 2019.
